Paranthrene tabaniformis
Species account (old)
The only record we have of this little known species is from Birtley in 1931, when a single specimen dropped into [the] beating tray [of] the late J. W. H. Harrison[when he] was beating the foliage of a black poplar (Vasculum Vol. 17, No. 4, p. 157). Possibly this was a stray from further south as vc 66 is well north of its normal range.
